Narvaiz, Porterfield, say lawsuit is 'pure politics'

San Marcos Mayor Susan Narvaiz and Councilmember Kim Porterfield said a lawsuit filed against them by a group opposing San Marcos CISD annexation into the Austin Community College district is, itself, a bid to sway the election. Opponents of the annexation say Narvaiz and Porterfield have used city resources to promote the measure.
