Attorneys for Shawn Shipman presented an application for a Writ of Habeas Corpus on June 9, in the hope of sparing him a new trial on narcotics charges.

Saying allegations of wrongdoing against a prosecutor and a detective "taint" the conviction, District Attorney Sherri Tibbe today agreed to a new trial for a man who pled guilty in March to drug trafficking and possession.
