Texas State nears HSI status

Texas State now has the enrollment for federal status as an Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) and now awaits federal certification, which could take a year. The designation could be worth an additional $5 million in federal funds. Meanwhile, university enrollment across categories continues to grow as the university announced a total of more than 32,000.

The San Marcos City Council has named three finalists for the city manager position. All three are presently city managers. They are Jim Nuse of Round Rock, Jeffrey Howell of Kilgore and Scott Moore of Peoria, IL.
