San Marcos to stage fireworks for New Year’s

Fireworks originally planned for the July 4th Summerfest celebration were cancelled due to the extreme drought conditions across the central Texas area. However, organizers of the event were able to reschedule the fireworks show for New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31.
