Hays County Judge Liz Sumter wants San Marcos officials to halt work on East McCarty Lane between Interstate-35 and San Marcos High School, saying the work jeopardizes $15.8 million in pass through funding from the state. The county's road consultant said the cost to the county is closer to $4 million.
