Bobcats ineligible for Southland title, playoffs

Entering its final football season in the Southland Conference, Texas State will be ineligible for the league title or the Football Championship Series (FCS) playoffs in 2011. The Bobcats, who are transitioning to a higher limit of 85 scholarships once they move to the Western Athletic Conference, are now over the scholarship limit for FCS.
