Bobcats relieve Wright of football coaching duties

Texas State fired head football coach Brad Wright Monday with two years remaining on a three-year contract. Wright was 23-23 in four years. Texas State immediately began a nationwide search for a football coach to lead the program into the Western Athletic Conference in 2012.

Texas State signs Wright to three-year extension

Texas State announced Tuesday morning that it has signed head football coach Brad Wright to a three-year contract extension. The university also extended the contracts of four other coaches.

Bobcats going to Montana for first round of football playoffs

The Texas State Bobcats and their closest followers learned Sunday night in the San and Pac Room that they'll begin the NCAA football playoffs at fourth-seeded Montana. The game is scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m.
