Bobcats beg for batting as league season starts

Texas State's baseball team is hitting only .221 as it begins the Southland Conference season this weekend at Bobcat Field against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. However, Texas State pitchers have allowed only a .250 batting average against them. The three-game Corpus series begins Friday night and runs through Sunday.
