Temporary Blanco River bridge at Post Road scheduled to open mid-December

Contractors working for Hays County began the process on Monday of installing flatbed railroad cars over the Blanco River as a temporary replacement for the Post Road bridge destroyed in Memorial Day weekend flood on May 24. The project is expected to cost no more than $150,000.

San Marcos retailer collects used furniture for flood victims

The Flack family, whose Martindale home was lost in the Memorial Day weekend flood, has organized a used furniture drive to help other flood survivors rebuild their lives.
