Starlight Symphony Orchestra’s ‘Surprise, Excitement and Too Funny’

The Starlight Symphony Orchestra will present “Surprise, Excitement and Too Funny,” an comedic presentation of immortal works that include Peter Schickele’s (aka P.D.Q. Bach) Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, Sportscast; Leroy Anderson’s The Typewriter and Bugler’s Holiday; and Haydn’s Surprise Symphony, Movement 2. Admission is free.

The concerts are 4 p.m. Saturday, May 16 at Cypress Creek Church, 211 Stillwater Road in Wimberley, and 7:30 p.m. Sunday, May 17 at the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center, 979 Kohlers Crossing in Kyle. A final performance is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, July 4, also at the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center.
