KYLE — An autopsy has been ordered into the death of a Texas State football defensive tackle who died Wednesday afternoon at his home.
Will Trevillion, a 20-year-old former Hays High School student, was pronounced dead at 1:43 p.m. Wednesday by Hays County Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace Beth Smith.
Smith said a cause is not yet known in Trevillion’s death and that an autopsy has been ordered. Smith said no foul play is suspected in Trevillion’s death.
Trevillion, who played at Hays under former head coach Blake Feldt, played on the offense and defensive lines for the Hays Rebels.
After graduating from high school, Trevillion continued his football career at Texas State under head coach Dennis Franchione. According to the Bobcat athletics website, Trevillion played in 11 total games in 2013 and 2014. During the 2014 campaign, Trevillion recorded nine total tackles and three total stops.
