FROM STAFF REPORTS
Two men suspected of robbing a person at gunpoint Monday afternoon in a Texas State University parking garage are being held at the Hays County jail on bail set at $100,000 each.
The university’s police department issued an alert through its emergency notification system on Dec. 7 after responding to an armed robbery complaint at about 4:20 p.m. on the top level of the Blanco Hall parking garage, 701 Moore Street.
Mark Cooks, an 18-year-old Plano resident, and Xavier Le Darian McGain, a 19-year-old Austin resident, were arrested about 2½ hours later at a convenience store on Aquarena Springs Drive, university police Capt. Daniel Benitez said. Neither man is enrolled at Texas State, Benitez said.
Cooks and McGain are charged with aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony punishable by five to 99 years in prison. McGain is also charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession.

Do these guys have an alibi for the time when Justin Gage was shot?

According to San Marcos police chief Chase Stapp, Cooks and McGain are not considered suspects in the Retreat homicide/home invasion.

Very unfortunate since Cooks was a 4 star athlete with many offers from D1 football programs.
