The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for an area of a portion of eastern Hays County that encompasses San Marcos, Kyle, Buda and Wimberley. The advisory is in effect until 7:45 p.m.
As of 5:45 p.m., one to two inches of rain had fallen in less than 30 minutes, the weather service said. An additional one or two inches as thunderstorms more slowly south.
