Wine and Art Weekend will be held April 10-12 in historic Downtown San Marcos, hosted jointly by the San Marcos Main Street Program, Art Squared and San Marcos Art Advocates.
“Seasoned wine walk participants as well as new attendees will be surprised by the talent and fun we have incorporated into this event,” Main Street program manager Samantha Armbruster said.
The three- day arts and entertainment festival will begin 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 10 continue 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 11 and will wrap up with a Jazz Brunch on the Old Hays County Courthouse Lawn from 10 a.m. to noon Sunday, April 12.
The event will include works by featured artists hosted inside downtown establishments with wine tastings, paired hors d’oeuvres, live art demonstrations and hands-on activities. The Art Squared Arts Market, which features more than 50 local artists, will be highlighted at the event. Participants will also receive a commemorative wine glass and be able to enjoy live entertainment on the streets.
Tickets are $30 in advance for a weekend pass, or $20 each for Friday or Saturday. Tickets for Sunday’s Jazz Brunch are $7 each. Check-in will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, April 10, on the Hays County Courthouse Lawn. This event is for attendees 21 years old and up.
