FROM SUBMITTED AND STAFF REPORTS
The southeast portion of the University Drive/LBJ Drive intersection is closed this week — and is projected to remain closed for three weeks — as part of the city’s messy, long-running Downtown Reconstruction Project.
The latest phase of work means that:
The intersection reconstruction will include sidewalks, underground utilities and paving work. Construction work in this area will last three weeks and will be underway during the continued work on the east side of LBJ.
Once the work is complete along the east side of LBJ, expected in late August, construction will move to the northeast portion of the intersection of University and LBJ until mid-September. Completion of all intersection work at LBJ and University is anticipated by the end of October.
This work is part of the $10.5 million Downtown Reconstruction Project which is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.Email | Print
