In her new role, Griffith will manage the school district’s finance and operations including oversight of a $57 million annual budget and the ongoing $77 million capital improvement program. She replaces Jason Gossett who left the district’s employ in June after 2½ years in the position.

In Kingsville, a south Texas school district with about 3,900 students, Griffith has been assistant superintendent for business and support services since mid-2008 where she oversaw construction management and made budgeting recommendations that increased the district’s fund balance. Before being promoted to the assistant superintendent position, Griffith worked as the Kingsville school district’s finance director for six years and as the accounting supervisor for a year.

Earlier in her career, Griffith was a financial analyst for Kleberg Bank, a Kingsville-based institution with 11 branches in Kingsville and Corpus Christi. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration at Texas A&M at Kingsville.
