DRIPPING SPRINGS — Two people were killed and two others badly injured in a head-on collision on U.S. 290 near the Hays-Travis counties line early Saturday.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, 28-year-old Jeffrey Edward Skrhak was driving his BMW eastbound in the westbound lane at about 5:30 a.m. June 21. He struck a Honda Pilot driven by 46-year-old Frank Trenholm Lyman III, KXAN News reported today. Skrhak and Lyman, both Austin residents, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Lymann’s wife, Keira Lymann, 42, is being treated for major injuries at University Medical Center Brackenridge; their five-year-old daughter was also severely injured and is receiving medical care at Children’s Medical Center, the Austin American-Statesman reported. Both are listed in critical condition.
