Crews on Monday will begin repairs and repaving of more than 20 miles of Ranch Road 12 and FM 967, both major thoroughfares in western Hays County. Travelers on both roads should expect delays:
Austin-based Ramming Paving Co., a Texas Department of Transportation contractor, will repair potholes and road edges on Ranch Road 12 between Wimberley and Dripping Springs before repaving the 13-mile stretch of two- and three-lane road.
The $1 million project includes the segment between Cypress Creek near the Square in Wimberley to Sports Park Road in Dripping Springs. Work will be done between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. The project is scheduled to be complete in 1½ months.
Also on Monday, TxDOT maintenance crews will begin applying a hot-mix asphalt overlay on about nine miles of FM 967, between FM 1626 near Buda to RM 1826 in Driftwood.
Work will be conducted between 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The two-week project is scheduled to be completed by Friday, May 23.Email | Print
