KYLE — Juan “Johnny” Tenorio Jr., a 54-year-old resident of Kyle, died on Sunday, May 4, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in February 28, 1960 in Buda but was raised in Kyle.
Tenorio was a law enforcement officer until his retiremenet in December 2012. He enjoyed spending time with family, watching and attending sporting events especially Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs games.
Tenorio is survived by his mother, Audelia H. Tenorio; fiancé Lorraine Camacho; three daughters, Priscilla R. Tenorio, Mia A. Tenorio and Bianna R. Tenorio; and a grandson, Braeden De Juan Ortiz. He is also survived by four siblings: Brenda Tenorio; Rebecca Mercado and her husband, Paul; Mark Tenorio and his wife, Elisha; and David Tenorio and his wife, Alice. He leaves behind ten nieces and nephews and thirteen great- nieces and -nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Juan A. Tenorio Sr.
A recitation of the holy rosary will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, May 8 at Harrell Funeral Home, 1715 Kirby Drive in Kyle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, May 9 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 801 N. Burleson St. in Kyle. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Memorial Park, 19106 San Marcos Highway in Martindale.Email | Print
