Richard Gonzales, 1941 to 2014

SEGUIN — Richard Gonzales, 72, of Seguin died on Tuesday, March 25. He was born in San Marcos on June 19, 1941 to Samuel C. Gonzales and Dora Ann Sanchez Gonzales.

He is survived by wife Mary Louisa Saenz Gonzales, to whom he was married for 51 years, and four daughters: Shayna Flores and her husband, L.J., of Seguin; Shantea Miller and her husband, Sean, of Seguin; Natalie Rodriguez Gonzales of Austin; and Crystal Jimenez and her husband, David, of Buda.

Gonzales is also survived three grandchildren, Josie, Chance, Chase, and J.T., and a sister and brother-in-law, Dora Ann and Tom Bowman of Middletown, Va.

Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at Thomason Funeral Home, 2001 Ranch Road 12 in San Marcos.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, March 28, at the funeral home followed by interment at the San Marcos Cemetery, 1001 Ranch Road 12. The Rev. Jeff Latham will officiate.
