Firefighters make quick work of San Marcos apartment fire

The San Marcos Fire Department stopped a blaze Friday, March 14 at a laundry facility at Townwood Apartments, 520 Linda Drive in San Marcos, before it could damage adjacent dwelling units. Firefighters were dispatched at 11:54 a.m., arrived four minutes later and had the fire extinguished by 12:15 p.m. The fire caused no injuries, but a nearby car was damaged. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
