San Marcos Tonight 12/2/13

A daily rundown of live entertainment in and around San Marcos tonight, compiled by Mercury Scene Editor Hap Mansfield and our content partners at San Marcos Tonight.

Tonight’s Best Bet

Texas State’s award-winning Mariachi Nueva Generacion will play a free concert tonight at Evans Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. What a delightful way to start out the week and the frenetic holiday month. Mariachi music is both comforting and energizing; the music has both a familiar warmth and an electric happy charge. What with both Billy Jo Shaver coming to Riley’s on Friday (there may still be some tickets) and the Sights and Sounds of Christmas opening this weekend, tonight’s show is perfectly timed. Vámonos!
