Western Kentucky’s dominance in Sun Belt Conference volleyball held serve Friday night, when the Hilltoppers beat Texas State in three sets at Strahan Coliseum.
The scores were 25-23, 25-23, 25-19. Texas State led the first set, 17-13, and the second set, 11-7. Western Kentucky took a 15-7 lead in the third set and held it.
The Bobcats remain in fourth place in the Sun Belt Conference, 7-6 in the league and 17-11 overall. Western Kentucky leads the league, 11-1 and 21-5.
No one had more than six kills for the Bobcats, who hit .153. Shelby Vas Matt and Molly Ahrens both reached that high total. The Bobcats will play Sunday at Strahan Coliseum against Georgia State (4-8, 9-17). The match begins at 6:30 p.m.
