A daily rundown of live entertainment in and around San Marcos tonight, compiled by Mercury Scene Editor Hap Mansfield and our content partners at San Marcos Tonight.
The big story tonight is Raliegh, NC’s American Aquarium (pictured) appearing at the Cheatham Street Warehouse. Purveyors of finely worded alt-country, they put one in mind of the Jayhawks fronted by Bruce Springsteen; yeah, they’re that rockin’. If you want to hear a little taste of their live show, they will be at Superfly’s for an in-store this afternoon at 4 p.m. American Aquarium is touring right now in support of their recent highly-lauded release, “Burn.Flicker. Die.” and sparks will certainly fly from their live show. Blue Water Highway opens for them tonight at the venerable old cotton warehouse at 9 p.m. so get there early. Spectacular double bill!
