A daily rundown of live entertainment in and around San Marcos tonight, compiled by Mercury Scene Editor Hap Mansfield and our content partners at San Marcos Tonight.
If you are not one to inhabit the bars to hear live music or if you have a day job that requires an early rising time it’s easy to miss out on some of the splendid music that graces San Marcos every darn day. Today at 5:30 p.m. The remarkable Folk Family Revival will play an in-store at Superfly’s Lone Star Music Emporium. An in-store is a good way to hear live music, browse the stacks and stay current. The tuneful Hill Country Gentlemen will play there at 7 p.m. tonight so it’s a double whammy of good music at a reasonable hour. The store also features original local artwork so it’s sort of like a cultural Red Bull; It’s both energizing and succinct. Oh, and sometimes there’s a little beer sampling going on too. Score!
