Former fiddle/guitar/mandolin player for Roger Creager, John Slaughter is also a talented singer and songwriter and the last few years he has garnered a faithful cadre of fans. His modern take on Texas dance hall music, his compelling vocals and songwriting craftsmanship are sweet country ear-candy. He will be playing tonight at Superfly’s Lone Star Music Emporium at 6 p.m. and will have his Cheatham Street debut at 10 p.m. at the venerable old cotton warehouse.
