Prado’s office on the move

The Hays County Justice of the Peace Office of Judge Jo Anne Prado (Precinct 1, Place 1) is moving.

That means Prado’s office will be closed this week.

Prado’s office is being moved from its long-time location at the Hays County Law Enforcement Center on Uhland Road to the Hays County Courthouse in downtown San Marcos. The new office will be in Suite 201.

The move will place the office closer to the population it serves in Precinct 1. The new office will open on July 1.

Persons who need to pay tickets this week can call or email the Justice Court Administrator, Angela Hernandez, at to make arrangements to pay their tickets once the new office opens. The phone number remains the same, (512) 393-7871.

The Precinct 1, Place 2 Justice of the Peace Court (Judge Margie Hernandez) is located at the Hays County Government Center, 712 South Stagecoach Trail in San Marcos.
