A daily rundown of live entertainment in and around San Marcos tonight, compiled by Mercury Scene Editor Hap Mansfield and our content partners at San Marcos Tonight.
We suppose most everyone around these parts knows that Riley’s Tavern was Texas’ first tavern after prohibition and how the 17-year old J.C. Riley drove up to Austin in a Model T and slept on the steps of the capitol building to get the license for his new beer joint. What, we ask, deserves a historical marker more than that? You can contribute to the fund by hitting the Crawfish Boil and Silent Auction tonight at Riley’s. Fun, a crawfish plate, a good cause and, if that weren’t enough already (and, by gosh, shouldn’t it be?) the awesome, authentic, Texas music rowdies Luke Adair and the Big Bills (pictured) will play tonight at 10:30 p.m. making a little history of their own.
