City announces street closures for Feb. 17-23

The designated portion of Fredericksburg Street will remain closed until September (City of San Marcos graphic).

Here are the road closures announced by the City of San Marcos for Feb 17-23.

CM ALLEN PARKWAY: Traffic reduced to two lanes at University Drive on Feb. 19 (10 a.m.-4 p.m.) for waste water bypass installation.

MCKINNON STREET: Closed to through traffic from Cheatham Street to Sycamore Street for pavement repair until Feb. 25.

CHEATHAM STREET: Closed to through traffic from McKinnon Street to Riverside Drive for pavement repair until Feb. 25. The road will be open to residents accessing their driveways.

WOODS STREET: Eastbound lane closed between Guadalupe and N. LBJ Drive until Feb. 28.

NORTH LBJ DRIVE: Northbound lane into campus closed until Feb. 28.

AIRPORT DRIVE: Intermittent lane closures from SH 21 to the Commemorative Air Force hangar from Feb. 20-March 6 for milling and asphalt overlay.

READ STREET: Traffic will be reduced to one-way southbound from Sessom Drive to Moore Street from until March 8, 2013 (7 a.m.-5 p.m.) during construction. Student crossings will be maintained at all times.

LONG STREET: Water line installation from until March 8. Two-way traffic will be maintained and flaggers will direct traffic during service connections to businesses.

SESSOM DRIVE: Traffic will be reduced to two lanes until Feb. 18 for Phase I of Sessom Drive wastewater line construction project along Sessom Drive between University and Ed J L Green and until April 14 between Ed J L Green and N. LBJ. Pedestrian detours will be designated.

EAST SAN ANTONIO STREET: Half a block closed from the alley to N. LBJ every Saturday from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. for the Farmers Market on the Square. Main Street Program, 393.8430.

Long-term road closures

HUTCHISON STREET: Westbound lane from CM Allen Parkway to N. LBJ Drive until June 14.

PAT GARRISON: 200 block, westbound lane, Fredericksburg Street to Comanche Street until Aug. 30.

FREDERICKSBURG: 400 block, all lanes until Sept. 1.

MOON STREET: All lanes from University Drive to Woods Street and east and west sidewalks closed from University Drive to Concho Green until Sept. 30.

MOORE STREET: All lanes from Ranch Road 12 to Read Street until Aug. 30, 2013. Temporary foot paths will be available.
