Krista Puisite finished in the top five for the fourth time this season as the Texas State women’s golf team finished eighth in the University of Central Florida Challenge at Red Tail Golf Club in Orlando.
Puisite shot 215 for 54 holes. As a team, the Bobcats finished eighth in the tournament.
“We’re disappointed we didn’t finish higher,” Texas State coach Mike Akers said. “The course didn’t lend itself to much separation between teams. I am proud of how Krista played and the consistency she’s shown this year. We’re excited to host the Jim West Challenge next week in Blanco.”
Iman Nordin had the low round of the final day on Monday with a one-over 73. She tied for 28th overall.
Texas State will next hold the Jim West Challenge this coming Sunday and Monday at Vaaler Creek in Blanco. It will be the first of two tournaments to which the Bobcats will be host this year.
