The Home Builders Association of Greater Austin will hold its annual crawfish boil this year at the Blanco Vista subdivision in northern San Marcos. It is the first time the influential regional trade group is staging the event south of Dripping Springs.
The crawfish boil will be 6-10 p.m. Thursday, March 21.
During its 10 years, the event has been held at Belterra in northern Hays County and various locations around Travis and Williamson counties but never as far south as San Marcos.
Four homebuilders operating in the 575-acre Blanco Vista subdivision sold about 60 homes in 2012, a record in its six-year history. Calgary, Alberta-based Brookfield Residential officials project 100 home sales in 2013, said Edjuan Bailey, the company’s spokesperson.Email | Print
