Sophomores Bailey Hill and Madison Miles combined for 28 points Tuesday night, leading the San Marcos High School girls basketball team to a 55-46 win at home against New Braunfels.
The victory raised the Rattlers to 1-3 in District 25-5A and 7-20 overall.
Hill led all scorers with 16 points, followed by Miles with 12. Jasmine Sauceda led New Braunfels with 12 points. The Unicorns fell to 0-4 and 5-15. The Rattlers rode a strong first half to victory, taking a 32-23 lead at halftime.
San Marcos next plays Friday night at Converse Judson. The Rockets lead District 25-5A at 4-0 and are 19-8 overall.
