Hays hosting first briefing today on longterm road plan


The Hays County Commissioners Court has scheduled a series of open houses on a proposed long-range transportation plan, the first of which is this afternoon in San Marcos.

The open house is 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 E. Hopkins St. Other open houses will be held during then next week in locations across the county:

Dripping Springs

4:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13
Precinct 4 Office
195 Roger Hanks Parkway


4:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14
Historic Kyle City Hall
101 S Burleson St.


4:30-7:30 p.m.
Wimberley High School
100 Carney Lane

A committee of commissioners court appointees is working with consultants on the document, which the court will consider adopting as its prioritized wish list for future capital improvements. A draft of the plan will be presented at the open houses.

“Residents who drive our roads are a valuable resource in helping us understand what the needs are and how to address them, and we encourage their review of this draft plan,” County Judge Bert Cobb said.
