inSanMarcos hosting Narvaiz at May meeting

Former San Marcos Mayor Susan Narvaiz, who is running for U.S. Congress, is the featured speaker at inSanMarcos’ May meeting.

The event is 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 17 at Nexus Medical Consulting, 101 Thermon Drive. InSanMarcos is a nonprofit civic affairs and business group currently chaired by former council member Pam Couch.

Narvaiz is seeking the Republican nomination for new Congressional District 35 in the May 29 primary election.

If she wins the primary, she will be running against either U.S. Rep. Lloyd Doggett or one of the two other candidates challenging Doggett for the Democratic nomination.
