T. Paul Bulmahn, chairman, CEO and founder of international offshore oil and gas development company ATP, will speak about entrepreneurship and his experience in the oil and gas industry on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will be on the Texas State University campus in room 119 of McCoy Hall.
Bulmahn donated $1.5 million to create the T. Paul Bulmahn Research and Trading Lab in McCoy Hall. The lab is a state-of-the-art facility that allows students to experience a “real world” trading room.
Bulmahn is also a principal in Planet Green Solutions, Inc., pioneering an innovative biomass reactor to convert waste into electricity. He also owns GoldMark Farm LLC, a training facility for foreign and domestic thoroughbreds.
Prior to forming ATP, Planet Green Solutions, and GoldMark Farm, Bulmahn was president and chairman of Harbert Oil & Gas Corporation. Earlier in his career he represented Tenneco in Washington D.C. and was an administrative law judge for the Railroad Commission of Texas. Bulmahn earned a BA from Valparaiso University; JD from University of Texas School of Law; and an MBA from the Graduate School of Business, Texas State University, which in 2000 named him a Distinguished Alumnus.
Bulmahn and his companies have received a number of awards and he has served in philanthropic roles that include a stint on the College of Business Administration Advisory Board from 2003 to 2005.Email | Print
