Public invited to BGCSCT tailgate party

The Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Texas will host its third annual Super Bowl Tailgate Party on Feb. 5 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

There will be a Madden 12 Tournament, Xtreme Talent Show and Chili Cook-Off, and cash prizes will be awarded for each contest. First place winners receive $225. Second place winners get $150, and third place winners receive $75. Contestants must pay a $10 entry fee.

“In addition to the contests, there will be family-friendly activities for everyone,” said Mary Bell, BGCSCT spokesperson.

The Super Bowl Tailgate Party is one of the BGCSCT’s largest outreach events, and the organization invites people of all ages to participate in the festivities.
