Acclaimed pianist Dorian Leljak will perform at Texas State University on Wednesday.
Leljak has won several international piano competitions (including the Rachmaninov Competition in Belgrade and the Novi Sad Piano Competition) and received numerous prizes, including the Yale University Mary Clapp Howell, Irving Gilmore and Parisot Prizes. A professional chamber musician, Leljak made his debuts in Carnegie Hall and Boston Philharmonia Hall in 2002 and has played recitals and with orchestras worldwide.
Leljak will perform at 7 p.m. in the Evans Auditorium. Tickets, which are $5 general admission and $3 for students and senior citizens, are available at the door 30 minutes before the recital.
Leljak teaches at the Royal College of Music in London and is Professor of Piano at the University of Novi Sad in Serbia. He holds directorships in various professional organizations, has given master classes and lectures around the world, and is a jury member at many international piano competitions.
