Sheriff’s Office to host town hall meetings

The Hays County Sheriff’s Office has slated meetings to inform residents about law enforcement operations and effective crime prevention measures.

The meetings will include presentations from various division commanders and supervisors within the police force, as well as a “State of the Sheriff’s Office” address by Sheriff Gary Cutler. Police will offer crime and incident statistics relevant to regions of the county in which the meetings are held. After the presentations, attendees may ask questions of Cutler and the division commanders and supervisors.

The Sheriff’s Office Community Outreach Team will be present at the meetings to offer information about crime prevention and programs including Neighborhood Watch, Citizens and Junior Deputy Academies, Business Watch, and Citizen Observer.

The meetings are planned for the following date and locations:

Feb. 9, 6:30 p.m. – Dripping Springs City Hall (511 Mercer Street, Dripping Springs)
Feb. 23, 6:30 p.m. – Jack C. Hays High School Media Center
Career and Technology Building (4800 Jack C. Hays Trail, Buda)
Feb. 28, 630 p.m. – Hays County Government Center (712 S. Stagecoach Trail San Marcos)
March 6, 6:30 p.m. – Wimberley VFW Hall (401 Jacobs Well Road Wimberley)
