STAFF REPORT

Tantra Coffeehouse in San Marcos will be the venue for a live, improvisational blend of music, choreography, and visual art on Saturday, Oct. 1.

ARTheism duo Topher Sipes and Samantha Beasley will perform with Roger Sellers and guest performer Lilith Black. Sipes will project live drawing onto Beasley’s dancing form and a large screen, and Sellers will create a unique aural experience using various melodic, percussive, and electronic instruments. Black’s performance will feature sword, fan, and belly dancing.

The event, which begins at 10 p.m., will feature new “dancimation” choreography from ARTheism and coincide with Sellers’ release of his new album entitled “Moments.” The event’s organizers characterize it as a “boundary-transcending,” “multi-sensory creative combustion.”

The cover is $3. Tantra is located at 217 West Hopkins Street.

Beasley, Sipes, and Black are San Marcos residents. Sellers recently moved from San Marcos to Austin.
