Old Settlers Music Festival single-day wristbands on sale Tuesday


The 24th annual Old Settler’s Music Festival will be held April 14-17 2011 at the Salt Lick Pavilion and Camp Bill McColloch on FM 1826. Single-day wristbands will be on sale starting Tuesday and are sold exclusively at

Purchasers who buy the early-bird single day wrist bands for $50 will save $5 off the regular early price of $55 and will save $10 off the gate price of $60.

The line-up so far for the four day festival includes the Avett Brothers, Sam Bush, Tim O’Brien, Jake Shimabukuro, Langhorne Slim, Green Mountain Grass, Elliott Brood and Emmitt-Nershi Band. The festival is held rain or shine.

Also available for immediate purchase are four-day wristbands with campground access, three-day wristbands with campground access, three-day no-camping wristbands and the all inclusive Platinum Pass. Children 12 and younger are admitted free. Festival organizers warn that camping access will sell out fast.

In the past, the renowned festival has featured a who’s who of bluegrass, Americana and roots music artists that include Patty Griffin, Peter Rowan, Buddy Miller, Travelin’ McCourys, Michelle Shocked, Bruce Hornsby, Yonder Mountain String Band, Nickel Creek, Alison Krauss and Union Station, Bela Fleck, and Vassar Clements and local favorites Joe Ely, Alejandro Escovedo, The Belleville Outfit, Sarah Jarosz and 7 Walkers.
