After 32 years of service, San Marcos Police Department (SMPD) Assistant Chief Lisa Dvorak is retiring on Nov. 30. Former San Marcos Mayor Susan Narvaiz presented a proclamation from the City of San Marcos to Dvorak for her years of service.

Celebrating with Dvorak were SMPD Commander Bob Klett, Commander Penny Dunn, Commander Chase Stapp, Chief Howard Williams, Officer Danny Arredondo and retired Commander Terry Nichols.

Also at the event were Councilmembers Kim Porterfield, Fred Terry, and Ryan Thomason. Former councilmember Gaylord Bose and Administrative Assistant Sheila Schuetz were also present.
