The first annual Know Thyself Expo will be at the San Marcos Activity Center on Saturday.
The first annual “Know Thyself Expo- A Mind, Body and Spirit Event” will be held at the San Marcos Activity Center Saturday from noon-7 p.m. The event will feature exhibits and demonstrations with the goal of helping people move towards healthier lifestyle choices and improved quality of life. Admission is $10.
The expo will offer free admission to veterans, honoring the city’s veterans Day celebration themed “Honoring All Who Served.”
Of particular interest to veterans may be speaker Bob Deschner’s insights into military Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Deschner will describe the results of the Veterans Team Recovery Integrated Immersion Program (Vet TRIIP), which integrates a variety of treatments including massage, acupuncture, chiropractic, and music and aroma therapies.
The event will include 35 exhibitors, ten speakers and a film. Information will be available on personal growth, holistic lifestyles, sustainability, organic foods, products and services.
