Farmer Fred's Harvest Fall Carnival coming up Saturday


Farmer Fred’s Harvest Fall Carnival on Saturday will feature a costume contest, carnival games and more. Admission is free.


On Saturday, the City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department and Texas State’s Recreation Department will sponsor the popular Farmer Fred’s Harvest Fall Carnival at San Marcos Plaza Park, 401 East Hopkins Street.

Admission to the carnival is free. Participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food items to donate to the Hays County Food Bank.

The carnival, which goes from 6-9 p.m., features a variety of events and activities including carnival games and prizes, candy, a barrel train ride, a haunted hayride and a movie on the big screen.

The children’s costume contest registration will be from 6-6:45 p.m. Participants  will be grouped by age and the contest will start at 7 p.m.

Concessions and some attractions will have a small fee.
