STAFF REPORT
Texas State’s athletic department has released the renderings of the new track facility that began ground breaking in September.
The new facility to be located behind Bobcat Stadium will include seating for 1,000 spectators, a press box, timing area, storage area for equipment, restrooms and a concession stand area. The facilities will include an NCAA regulation track with jumping and throwing areas located on the infield.
It is anticipated that the new track stadium will enable the athletic department to remove the track from Bobcat Stadium, where the seating on the sidelines can be reconstructed in a future expansion.
The new track complex is scheduled for completion in June 2011.
