Utility kiosk heads to LBJ Student Center

Texas State University students will have an alternative to waiting in line at city utility offices to pay their water and electric bills with the installation of a new kiosk at the LBJ Student Center.

The kiosk will allow students to access their accounts on campus, pay their bills with credit or debit cards and give them access during Student Center hours. The kiosk has an easy-to-use touch screen, access to information in English and Spanish, and will issue a printed receipt. The kiosk will be installed in early September.

“The kiosk will offer great convenience to university students and enable the city to improve customer service,” Utility Billing Manager Ernest Cavazos said.

Customers may also set up other convenient ways to pay their city utility bills. Customers may pay utility bills online at 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week. They may also set up automatic payments from their bank or credit union so that they never have to worry about being late in paying their bills.

For information about utility billing, contact the City of San Marcos Utility Billing Office at 512-393.8383, visit the offices at the Electric Utility, 1040 Highway 123 or the Municipal Building, 630 E. Hopkins, or e-mail.
