The new utility kiosk is currently on display at San Marcos City Hall, 630 East Hopkins Street.

STAFF REPORT

A new utility kiosk from the City of San Marcos utility department will make it easier for Texas State students to pay their utility bills. The kiosk will be installed at the LBJ Student Center in early September.

The kiosk, which is now on display at City Hall, 630 East Hopkins Street, will allow students to access their accounts, pay their bills with credit or debit cards and will be available during student center hours. It features an easy-to-use touch screen and will issue a printed receipt. Account information can be accessed in English or Spanish.

“The kiosk will offer great convenience to university students and enable the City to improve customer service,” said San Marcos Utility Billing Manager Ernest Cavazos.

Customers may also pay utility bills online at www.sanmarcotx.gov 24 hours per day, seven days a week. Automatic payments from banks or credit unions may also be set up.

For more information about utility billing, contact the City of San Marcos Utility Billing Office at (512) 393-8383 or email utility_billing@sanmarcostx.gov.

Information may also be obtained by visiting the offices at the Electric Utility, 1040 Highway 123 or the Municipal Building, 630 East Hopkins Street.
