The San Marcos city clerk’s office will process passports on Aug. 7 from 8 a.m. until noon.

On Aug. 7, the San Marcos city clerk’s office, 630 East Hopkins Street, will be open from 8 a.m. until noon to process passport applications.

Citizens wishing to apply for passports should bring certified birth certificates, naturalization papers or previous passports, two passport photos and valid photo identification.

A U.S. passport photo has many restrictions. They photo must be two inches wide by two inches tall. It must be taken against a white background. The subject must face fully forward with eyes wide open. The photo must not be more than six months old and it must show current appearance.  Vending machine photos are generally not acceptable.
