Texas State sculpture students exhibit to coincide with concert

STAFF REPORT

A group of sculpture students from Texas State’s School of Art and Design have collaborated for a one-night sculpture exhibit at the San Marcos Activity Center Thursday from 8-9:30 p.m. The event has been moved from Plaza Park because of rain.

The exhibit is an outdoor, family friendly activity entitled “Summer Light Exhibit.”

The event will coincide with the Summer in the Park Concert Series held in the park from 7:30 -9 p.m.

This week, the free concert features Terri Hendrix with special guest Andy Hartsock. Hendrix recently released a CD and book, “Cry Till You Laugh” on her own label, Wilory Records. In early June, Hendrix was inducted into the South Texas Music Walk of Fame in Corpus Christi.
