STAFF REPORT
The Hays County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) is looking for a male and female who robbed a home in Falconwood subdivision west of San Marcos Monday afternoon.
The HCSO received a call of a burglary in progress at about 3 p.m. Monday afternoon. A juvenile, who was home alone, heard a knock on the door and, not knowing who was knocking, did not answer. He went to another part of the house and then heard a noise as the back door was kicked open. He hid in the house, phoned his parents called 911.
The parents notified a neighbor, who drove to the house and witnessed a gray vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet Astro van, with no license plates parked in the victim’s driveway. When the neighbor blew his horn, a female and male appeared from the rear of the residence, got into the van and sped away.
Some computer and camera equipment were stolen from the home. A search of the neighborhood was conducted. The van could not be located but it is believed that the van drove back into San Marcos.
The only description given of the suspects is that they were a white or Hispanic male and female.
The HCSO asks anyone with information about the incident to contact the its criminal investigations division at (512) 393-7814 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 324-8477.
