San Marcos CISD's Guerra appointed to TASA post

Aldelaida Guerra of San Marcos CISD was appointed to serve on the Executive Committee of the Texas Association of School Administrators.

Adelaida “Lolly” Guerra, San Marcos CISD’s Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, was recently appointed to the Executive Committee of the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA). Her at-large position with TASA will run from June 1 to May 31, 2012.

The Executive Committee is the primary decision-making arm of of TASA. Twenty regional members, four at-large members, and four officers work closely with the executive director and staff to conduct the business of the association.

TASA provides support for school leaders by fostering programs and activities that focus on leadership development. The organization also impacts laws, policies and practices that will improve education. TASA supports and promotes research-based decision making and works to develop retain and support highly qualified educational leaders.

Guerra was one of three statewide appointees to at-large executive committee positions.
